Gold prices witnessed a sharp increase in Pakistan on Wednesday, tracking gains in the international bullion market amid continued volatility in precious metals.

In global trading, gold rose by $35 per ounce, reaching $4,811 per ounce, reflecting strong upward momentum in international markets.

Following the global trend, domestic prices also moved higher. The price of per tola gold increased by Rs. 3,500, reaching Rs. 503,462 in the local market.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 3,001, settling at Rs. 431,637.

This increase comes shortly after a decline in the previous session, when per tola gold had dropped by Rs. 4,600, highlighting ongoing instability in the bullion market.

Meanwhile, silver prices also recorded gains, with the per tola rate increasing by Rs. 144 to reach Rs. 8,404.
