The government has launched the SheCreates Women Entrepreneurship Portal to help women entrepreneurs find information on government programs, business initiatives, support schemes, and mentorship opportunities.
The portal has been developed under Pakistan’s B READY reform agenda through a joint effort by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
The platform brings information on publicly funded programs for women-owned small and medium enterprises (SMEs) together in one place.
The initiative aims to make it easier for women entrepreneurs to find relevant government support and overcome the lack of information about available programs.
The portal is part of wider B READY reforms aimed at reducing procedural hurdles for businesses and improving access to business-related information.
The participating institutions are also working to simplify business processes and expand digital services for women-owned enterprises.
