Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited (PSX: NICL) has approved Rs. 3 billion in new capital spending for three projects aimed at expanding its business and production capacity.

The projects include a new Palmitic Acid plant, expansion of its Chlorinated Paraffin Wax (CPW) and Chlorine Liquefaction plants, and the relocation of an oleochemicals plant from Sheikhupura to Hub, Balochistan.

The company disclosed the decision to the Pakistan Stock Exchange after its board approved and recommended the investments at a meeting held on September 9, 2026.

The new Palmitic Acid plant will open a new business line for Nimir. The company said Palmitic Acid is used in animal nutrition, particularly for milking cows, and it plans to introduce more products in this segment.

Nimir will also expand its CPW plant and the Chlorine Liquefaction plant that supplies the key feedstock needed to produce CPW. The company said CPW demand has increased significantly since its production was localized in Pakistan and is expected to continue growing.

The company also plans to move one of its oleochemicals plants from Sheikhupura to Hub, Balochistan. Nimir said the relocation will strengthen its presence in the southern region, help meet local demand, and create better export opportunities through sea routes.

Nimir expects these three projects to start contributing benefits from FY28 onward.
