The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has appointed Brigadier (Retd.) Amir Shehzad as its new Director General (DG) Enforcement.

The appointment was made by the PTA Chairman, with Amir Shehzad moving to the Enforcement division from his previous position as DG Licensing.

He will assume charge of the new position immediately.

As DG Enforcement, Amir Shehzad has been assigned the task of making the PTA’s enforcement mechanism more effective and helping improve the quality of telecom services.

The new DG said the position comes with significant responsibilities and challenges. He said he would work to meet the expectations of the government, the PTA and telecom users.

He also said the concerns and expectations of consumers would be kept in consideration while carrying out his responsibilities.
