Fertilizer prices in Pakistan have increased once again as Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) revised rates of its key products, Sona DAP and urea, in line with continued pressure in global commodity markets.
The company raised the price of Sona DAP by Rs400 per bag, taking it to Rs15,633. The adjustment follows earlier increases in recent weeks, reflecting ongoing volatility in international diammonium phosphate (DAP) prices.
Alongside DAP, urea prices have also remained under upward pressure due to higher input costs and fluctuations in global fertilizer supply chains. Market sources attribute the trend to sustained demand pressures and instability in global fertiliser markets.
With the latest revision, fertilizer prices have continued their upward trajectory, adding to input costs for the agriculture sector ahead of upcoming crop cycles. The increase is expected to impact farmers’ production costs and overall agricultural margins in the local market.
