The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its winning streak against the US Dollar (USD) on Wednesday, marking its 246th consecutive session of gains.
The rupee closed at 277.20 against the US Dollar, strengthening by 0.93 paisa during the day.
Meanwhile, the British Pound (GBP) fell by 88.56 paisas against the rupee to 368.82. At the current pace, the Pound could move closer to Rs. 365 in the coming sessions.
The rupee has maintained its streak of gains against the US Dollar since December 25, 2025.
Other Currencies
The rupee also strengthened against several major currencies during Wednesday’s trading.
It gained 45.42 paisas against the Euro, 53.90 paisas against the Canadian Dollar and 22.84 paisas against the Australian Dollar.
The rupee was largely stable against the UAE Dirham and Saudi Riyal, while it weakened slightly against the Malaysian Ringgit.
