The Pakistani rupee extended its winning streak against the US dollar to 228 consecutive sessions on Friday, although it weakened against the Canadian dollar and Australian dollar.
The rupee closed at 277.5015 against the US dollar, gaining 1.31 paisas during the day. It has remained on an upward streak against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
Against major currencies, the rupee remained largely stable against the UAE dirham and Saudi riyal.
It gained 19.56 paisas against the euro and 1.78 paisas against the British pound.
The rupee, however, weakened by 24.04 paisas against the Australian dollar and 39.45 paisas against the Canadian dollar.
The rupee also gained 8.02 paisas against the Malaysian ringgit and 0.38 paisa against the Chinese yuan.
