K-Electric is considering further legal action after the NEPRA Appellate Tribunal rejected the company’s appeals against regulatory decisions that affect its tariff for the next several years.

The tribunal announced its decision verbally, dismissing K-Electric’s appeals against NEPRA decisions issued on October 20, 2025. The detailed written order has not yet been released.

K-Electric said the decision could have a significant negative impact on its Multi-Year Tariff (MYT) for the FY2024 to FY2030 control period.

According to the power utility, the outcome is not financially sustainable for the company and could materially affect its approved tariff framework.

The company said it is waiting for the tribunal’s detailed written order before determining its next course of action.

Once the written decision is received, K-Electric will review the available legal options and decide whether to pursue further remedies.

The appeals relate to NEPRA’s decisions issued in October 2025, against which K-Electric had approached the appellate tribunal.
