The federal government has reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel by Rs. 6 per litre for the next seven days, according to sources.

Following the latest cut, the price of petrol has been set at Rs. 403.78 per litre, while high-speed diesel will now be available at Rs. 403.58 per litre.

The revised prices will take effect immediately on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

This is the second consecutive reduction in fuel prices, after the government last week lowered both petrol and diesel rates by Rs. 5 per litre.

The latest adjustment comes amid ongoing fluctuations in petroleum pricing and is expected to offer some relief to consumers, especially motorists and the transport sector.

The Petroleum Division will later issue an official notification confirming the revised rates.
