Gold prices in Pakistan continued their downward trend on Monday, tracking losses in international markets.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold fell by Rs3,094 per tola to settle at Rs452,222.

The price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs2,785, bringing it down to Rs386,987.

The latest drop follows a sharp decline on Saturday, when gold prices plunged by Rs12,489 per tola, closing at Rs455,327.

In the international market, gold lost $30 per ounce, with the global rate settling at $4,297 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Silver prices also moved lower in the local market, falling by Rs94 per tola to Rs7,173.
