The National Highways and Motorway Police has introduced a fully cashless system for the payment of driving license fees, allowing citizens to complete transactions digitally without visiting banks.

The initiative was formally launched by Deputy Inspector General Operations Asghar Ali, as part of broader efforts to streamline public service delivery and make the licensing process more convenient for applicants.

Under the new arrangement, applicants can now pay fees through mobile wallets such as Easypaisa, JazzCash, as well as various banking applications, enabling quick, secure, and accessible digital payments.

In partnership with the National Bank of Pakistan, QR code-based payment machines have already been installed at the Islamabad Driving Licensing Authority. Authorities confirmed that similar systems are being deployed in Sheikhupura and Quetta, with a nationwide rollout planned in phases.

Officials said the new digital system will significantly cut processing delays, remove the need for physical bank visits, and provide instant payment verification, improving overall efficiency and user experience for applicants.
