Gold prices in Pakistan surged on Thursday, tracking a rise in international bullion markets. The price of gold per tola climbed by Rs11,300 to reach Rs449,236, according to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs9,688, reaching Rs385,147.

A day earlier, gold per tola was recorded at Rs437,936 after gaining Rs10,000 in the local market.

In the international market, gold prices rose by $113 to $4,268 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Meanwhile, silver prices also moved higher, increasing by Rs35 to Rs6,659 per tola.
