Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that Lahore will host Basant 2027 from March 12 to 14, following what she described as the success of Basant 2026.
In a post on X, the chief minister said Lahore would once again celebrate the festival with colors, culture, music and festivities, inviting people from across Pakistan and overseas to participate.
Maryam Nawaz specifically called on the youth of Punjab and Pakistan to join the celebrations and encouraged overseas Pakistanis and international visitors to plan their trips to Lahore for the event.
She said the provincial government aims to make Basant 2027 another major celebration and a memorable occasion for visitors and residents.
The announcement gives visitors more than six months to plan for the three-day festivities, scheduled for Friday, March 12, through Sunday, March 14, 2027.
Basant 2027 will mark another major cultural event for Lahore following the revival of the festival in 2026.
