Google has launched Digital Pasban, a nationwide online safety initiative designed to help Pakistani families protect children and use the internet more safely.
The program aims to reach 200,000 households across Pakistan through Urdu-language safety toolkits, educational videos and practical workshops for parents and guardians.
The initiative will promote digital literacy and safer internet use, with guidance on parental controls, age-appropriate content, digital citizenship and responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Google is partnering with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Tech Valley, Beaconhouse School System, Jazz World and HUM Network, along with relevant government ministries, to roll out the program.
Digital Pasban will use schools, television and other broadcast media, SMS alerts and community safety clinics to reach families across the country.
