Dr. Yasir Mahmood, CEO of Yasir Mahmood Securities (Pvt.) Limited, has been elected Chairman of the Pakistan Stock Brokers Association (PSBA).

The association announced his election in a post shared shortly after the development, congratulating Mahmood on taking charge of the position.

Mahmood thanked members for their trust and said he looked forward to working with the new team to serve the association and contribute to Pakistan’s capital markets.

Mahmood has extensive experience in Pakistan’s capital markets and has previously served as President and Chairman of the Lahore Stock Exchange.

He has also served on the boards of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan, Pakistan Credit Rating Agency (PACRA), Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), and the National Clearing Corporation of Pakistan.

Mahmood currently serves as an instructor at the Centre for Executive Education at LUMS, where he teaches investing in the stock market. He is also a board member of the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP).

He holds an MBBS degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College and an MBA from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
