US technology company Mobiz has established its regional office in Pakistan at the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP) in Karachi, drawing a welcome from Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) Chairman Dr. Kabir Ahmed Sidhu.

Mobiz is a Pakistani-owned technology company based in Silicon Valley, United States, and provides cloud, data, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity services across different countries.

Welcoming the establishment of the regional office, Sidhu said Pakistan’s talented youth have the potential to play a significant role in the global information technology market. He said the expansion of global technology companies into Pakistan reflects growing confidence in the country’s IT talent.

The SECP chairman said Pakistan has significant opportunities to develop into a regional technology and global services hub. He added that the SECP is working on transparency, digitalization and regulatory reforms to facilitate businesses.

Sidhu said the adoption of modern technology can help businesses reduce costs and processing time while improving transparency and efficiency. He added that investment by global IT companies in Pakistan could create new employment opportunities for young people and enable them to work in global markets.

The SECP chairman congratulated Mobiz Global on the opening of its Karachi office and expressed his best wishes for the company’s further expansion in Pakistan.
