The federal government has reduced profit rates on multiple National Savings Schemes, lowering returns for pensioners, regular investors and beneficiaries of welfare accounts.

Under the revised rates, the Regular Income Certificate (RIC) will now offer a monthly return of 11.52 percent, meaning an investment of Rs. 100,000 will generate Rs. 960 in monthly profit.

According to an official notification issued by National Savings, the annual profit rate for the Behbood Savings Certificate, Pensioners’ Benefit Account and Shuhada Family Welfare Account has been revised to 12.96 percent.

The Special Savings Certificate will now provide an annualized return of 11.2 percent for the first six months and 12.6 percent for the remaining six months.

The revised profit rates have taken effect immediately under the latest notification issued by National Savings.
