The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has called for an immediate de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East, urging all sides to stop hostilities and return to negotiations to prevent the conflict from widening.

In an official statement, the UAE said it was deeply concerned by the latest developments in the region and warned that further escalation would increase instability.

The UAE stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire and a swift resumption of diplomatic dialogue, saying negotiations remain the best path to resolving the crisis.

It also underscored the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for safe and uninterrupted maritime traffic, describing the vital shipping route as essential to the stability of the global economy.

The statement further condemned attacks on civilian infrastructure, including schools, hospitals and residential areas, saying such actions constitute serious violations of international law and cannot be accepted or justified under any circumstances.

The UAE’s statement comes as regional tensions continue to rise, prompting growing international calls for restraint and a diplomatic solution to avoid a broader war.
