A young man in Lahore allegedly took inspiration from PUBG to carry out a bank robbery and then returned home to play the game again, according to police.

The suspect allegedly robbed Rs. 700,000 from a bank near Bhatta Chowk. Police said he wore clothing and a mask similar to those featured in the game during the robbery.

After reaching home, the suspect reportedly changed his vehicle’s number plate and placed the stolen cash and briefcase in his house before starting another PUBG session.

His gaming session did not last long.

Police used Safe City camera footage to track his movements and reached his home. Officers allegedly recovered the stolen Rs. 700,000 and a pistol from the premises.

Police said the suspect had no previous criminal record.

Further investigation is underway to determine the full circumstances of the robbery.
