A total of 6,000 students from 100 universities have completed training under ACT AI, one of Pakistan’s largest Artificial Intelligence skill development initiatives, after being selected from more than 82,000 applicants through a nationwide examination.
Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja attended the graduation ceremony at the Higher Education Commission (HEC) headquarters, where officials highlighted the program’s role in expanding AI skills among university students.
Implemented by AI SkillBridge in collaboration with HEC, the initiative delivered training through the HEC Smart Classroom Network, enabling simultaneous AI education across universities nationwide.
Officials said the program supports the National AI Policy 2025 and contributes toward the government’s target of training one million students in Artificial Intelligence by 2030.
During the ceremony, students presented AI-based applications, websites, and AI agents developed during the course. The top 600 performers will receive scholarships for advanced AI training.
The program was organized by AI SkillBridge with HEC, the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP), and NAVTTC, with graduates receiving jointly endorsed certificates from the participating institutions.
