The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its steady run against the US dollar on Friday, marking its 210th consecutive session of gains.
The rupee closed at 277.80 against the US dollar after appreciating by one paisa during the day. The currency has recorded consistent gains against the dollar since December 25, 2025.
Against other major currencies, the rupee showed mixed movement. It remained stable against the UAE dirham and gained one paisa against the Saudi riyal.
However, the PKR weakened against several major currencies, losing Rs2.48 against the British pound, Rs1.64 against the euro, and Rs1.95 against the Australian dollar.
The rupee also declined by 56 paisas against the Canadian dollar, while minor losses were recorded against the Chinese yuan and Malaysian ringgit.
