Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves increased slightly to $22.506 billion during the week ended August 13, 2026, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

The SBP’s reserves rose by $25 million to $17.081 billion, compared with $17.057 billion a week earlier.

Commercial banks held another $5.424 billion in foreign exchange reserves, down $17.1 million from the previous week.

Overall, the country’s liquid foreign exchange reserves increased during the week despite the decline in commercial banks’ holdings.

At the current level, Pakistan’s total reserves provide around 2.55 months of import cover.
