Gold prices surged sharply in both international and local markets on Thursday, with the price of gold in Pakistan rising by Rs. 13,700 per tola.

In the international bullion market, gold gained $137 per ounce, taking the global price to $4,495 per ounce.

Following the global rally, the price of gold in Pakistan increased to Rs. 471,936 per tola.

The price of 10-gram gold also rose by Rs. 11,746 to Rs. 404,609.

Silver prices also increased in the local market. The price of silver rose by Rs. 317 per tola to Rs. 7,169, while the price of 10-gram silver also increased by Rs. 317 to Rs. 6,146.
