Senators can now access bills, agendas and other parliamentary documents on their phones after the Senate of Pakistan launched a dedicated mobile application.

The app brings key Senate business onto a single digital platform, allowing lawmakers to check legislative documents without relying on printed copies.

It includes the Order of the Day, bills, resolutions, motions, committee reports, committee proceedings and session schedules. Senators will also receive alerts about important parliamentary activities.

The application is part of efforts to make the Parliament more digital and reduce the use of paper in legislative work.

Acting President Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani attended the launch ceremony at Parliament House as chief guest. Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja also attended the event.

Khawaja described the app as an important step toward digital governance. She said the Ministry of IT would continue providing technical support, infrastructure and security assistance for such projects.

The Senate initiative follows similar digitalization efforts at the National Assembly and provincial assemblies as Pakistan expands the use of technology across government institutions.
