Indian media commentary has gone into debate mode after footage of Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir meeting Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran began circulating, with some anchors questioning whether the visuals were authentic or digitally manipulated.
Despite official confirmation from Pakistan’s Foreign Office regarding the army chief’s ongoing diplomatic visit to Iran, segments of Indian television discussions have suggested the possibility of AI-generated or altered imagery, triggering widespread online debate over the footage.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi received the Pakistani delegation led by Field Marshal Asim Munir, alongside Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, during their visit to Tehran. He reportedly appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating regional dialogue and diplomatic engagement.
According to diplomatic sources, Pakistan continues its mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, relaying messages as part of ongoing backchannel efforts aimed at reducing tensions and preparing the ground for a possible second round of direct talks.
The developments come as Islamabad intensifies its shuttle diplomacy, positioning itself as a facilitator in efforts to narrow gaps between Washington and Tehran on key nuclear-related issues.
