Naran has taken a step toward adding hot air ballooning to its growing range of adventure tourism activities after a balloon successfully completed a test flight in the popular Khyber Pakhtunkhwa tourist destination.
During the test, the balloon reached an altitude of approximately 8,000 feet above sea level, giving passengers an aerial view of the scenic Naran Valley. The balloon can carry up to five people at a time and is being operated by professionals trained in Turkey.
The trial is part of efforts to introduce new recreational and adventure activities for tourists visiting northern Pakistan. If the initiative moves into regular operation, hot air balloon rides could offer visitors a new way to experience Naran’s mountain scenery.
A similar hot air balloon test was carried out last year in Basiya, Balakot, another tourist and historical location in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The successful Naran trial could pave the way for the activity to become an additional attraction for tourists in the region.
