The Punjab government is offering rice farmers a subsidy of up to Rs. 25,000 for using super seeders under its Punjab Clean Air Program.

Farmers will receive Rs. 5,000 per acre, with the maximum payment limited to Rs. 25,000 per farmer.

The scheme is designed to promote the use of super seeders and discourage the burning of crop residue, a major contributor to air pollution and smog in Punjab.

Farmers who use a super seeder to sow their rice crop can apply for the subsidy. The program covers 23 districts across the province.

The eligible districts are Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Chiniot, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Multan, Lodhran, Khanewal, Vehari, and Bahawalnagar.

Eligible farmers can register online through the Agriculture Department Punjab’s official website.
