Gold prices in Pakistan jumped sharply on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold rising Rs. 11,200 per tola to Rs. 465,236.
The increase followed a strong rise in international gold prices, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs. 9,602 to Rs. 398,864.
On Wednesday, gold had fallen by Rs. 11,300 per tola to Rs. 454,036.
In the international market, gold gained $112 to reach $4,427 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Silver prices also moved higher in the local market, increasing by Rs. 185 to Rs. 7,044 per tola.
