American actor Giancarlo Esposito, widely recognized for his role as Gus Fring in Breaking Bad, has reportedly embraced Islam during his stay in Saudi Arabia, according to a report published by Saudi Gazette.

The report cites remarks attributed to Saudi General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh, stating that Esposito declared his faith by reciting the Shahada while in the Kingdom.

It further claims that the actor took part in prayer alongside a film crew at a mosque during his time on location for production work in Saudi Arabia.

Sources quoted in the report suggest that Esposito’s exposure to the local environment and interactions during filming contributed to a meaningful personal experience.

Footage circulating on social media allegedly shows the actor praying with members of the production team, although it has not been independently verified.

Esposito, whose career spans acclaimed roles in Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian, and numerous Hollywood films, has not publicly commented on the reports.

Saudi Arabia has recently been expanding its entertainment and film industry, hosting a growing number of international productions as part of its cultural development strategy.
