The government has reduced petrol prices by Rs. 2.71 per litre to Rs. 392.66 for October 14, 2026. The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been cut by three paisas to Rs. 396.82 per litre.
The revised rates were announced by the Petroleum Division following a review by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
Petrol was previously priced at Rs. 395.37 per litre, while diesel cost Rs. 396.85 per litre.
The Petroleum Division attributed the changes to movements in international Platts rates, premiums and other incidental costs.
The latest adjustment follows Monday’s revision, when the government reduced petrol prices by Rs. 2.93 per litre but increased diesel prices by 61 paisas.
Meanwhile, international oil prices fell nearly 2 percent on Tuesday after rising in the previous session. Traders were monitoring attacks on Saudi Arabia and the possibility of additional diesel supplies from Russia.
Brent crude futures fell $2.02, or 1.89 percent, to $104.63 per barrel by 1049 GMT. US West Texas Intermediate crude futures declined $1.89, or 2.02 percent, to $91.85 per barrel.
Both benchmarks had gained nearly $2 per barrel in the previous session, with Brent settling at its highest level since September 15.
