The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has extended the suspension of trading in five companies for another 60 days from September 21, 2026, as the companies have yet to resolve the issues that resulted in their trading suspensions.

The affected companies are Abson Industries Limited, English Leasing Limited, Sadoon Textile Industries Limited, Hakkim Textile Mills Limited, and Suraj Ghee Industries Limited.

According to a PSX notice, trading in their shares will remain suspended until the reasons for suspension are addressed or for another 60-day period starting September 21.

The exchange said all five companies have failed to hold their annual general meetings, submit annual audited financial statements, and clear outstanding dues payable to the PSX.

Abson Industries has also not inducted its ordinary shares into the Central Depository System (CDS). The company is also facing winding-up proceedings, with a court-appointed official liquidator following a petition filed by its creditors.

English Leasing is facing a winding-up petition filed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), along with other outstanding compliance issues.

Sadoon Textile Industries has also not inducted its ordinary shares into the CDS. The SECP has issued an order to initiate winding-up proceedings against the company.

Hakkim Textile Mills has similarly failed to induct its shares into the CDS, while the SECP has filed a winding-up petition against the company.

Suraj Ghee Industries has also not inducted its ordinary shares into the CDS and faces winding-up petitions filed by both the SECP and the company’s creditors.

The PSX said the decision was taken under Subsection (7) of Section 19 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.11 of the PSX Regulations.
