Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has removed Captain (Retd.) Saif Anjum from his position as Secretary of the Industries and Production Division.

A Cabinet Division notification issued on September 16 said Anjum has been transferred with immediate effect and directed to report to the Establishment Division until further orders.

Anjum is a BS-22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service.

He has held several senior positions at both the federal and provincial levels during his career.

At the federal level, Anjum has served as Secretary Aviation Division and Secretary Environment Protection, along with Special Secretary in the Interior Division.

He has also held several positions in the Punjab government, including Secretary Irrigation, Special Secretary and Additional Secretary of the Home Department, and Secretary of the Transport Department.

Earlier in his career, he served as District Coordination Officer Okara, Director General of the Sasti Roti Authority and Principal Secretary Officer to the Chief Minister of Punjab.
