The United Kingdom has praised Pakistan’s efforts to promote peace and stability in the region during a telephone conversation between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the two leaders discussed bilateral ties and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
During the call, Cooper commended Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts to support regional peace and acknowledged Islamabad’s contribution to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. She also recognized Pakistan’s role in facilitating diplomatic engagement between the United States and Iran.
Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to resolving conflicts through dialogue and diplomacy, emphasizing that peaceful engagement remains a cornerstone of the country’s foreign policy.
The two foreign ministers agreed to remain in close contact and reaffirmed their commitment to continued cooperation in support of regional peace, stability, and stronger Pakistan-UK relations.
