The Senate Standing Committee on Interior has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the high-profile drug case involving “Pinky,” directing all relevant law enforcement and government institutions to submit complete records of the alleged network and supply chain.

During the committee proceedings and subsequent media interaction, lawmakers said the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and other agencies have been instructed to present detailed information on where the accused allegedly supplied narcotics and to whom.

The committee chairperson said complete records have been sought from the Interior Ministry and all concerned departments to determine the full scope of the case and possible links across different segments of society.

Lawmakers further demanded that the Interior Secretary provide exhaustive details without exception, including any potential involvement or exposure of parliamentarians, judges, bureaucrats, or students, if such evidence exists in official records.

The committee emphasized that no individual would be exempt from scrutiny and called for full transparency in mapping the alleged drug distribution network.

The chairperson also stated that drug testing of relevant individuals should be considered as part of the investigation process, adding that he himself would be the first to undergo testing to demonstrate accountability.

Lawmakers reiterated that the objective of the inquiry is to identify the complete chain of supply and consumption, and ensure strict legal action against anyone found involved in narcotics-related activities.

The committee has also directed that ANF officials appear in the next meeting with a detailed briefing and supporting documentation on the case, including operational and investigative records.
