After reaching record highs multiple times throughout the week, gold prices in Pakistan saw a slight decline on Friday. According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold fell by Rs. 300 per tola, settling at Rs. 276,700. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs. 256, bringing it to Rs. 237,226.
This decline follows a significant increase on Thursday, when the price of gold surged by Rs. 1,500 per tola, reaching an all-time high of Rs. 277,700 in the local market.
In the international market, spot gold remained steady at $2,670.50 per ounce as of 0028 GMT, after hitting a record high of $2,685.42 on Thursday. Globally, gold prices have risen by more than 29 percent this year, reflecting strong demand and market dynamics.
