Zong has emerged as the leading mobile operator in the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority’s (PTA) latest Quality of Service (QoS) survey, securing the top position in seven key performance measures, while Jazz led in six.

The second-quarter 2026 survey assessed mobile operators across 11 cities between April and June, covering 4G coverage, mobile broadband speeds and latency, web browsing, voice quality and SMS services.

Zong secured seven top rankings across the measured network performance indicators, while Jazz took the lead in six.

Jazz ranked first in 4G coverage and several mobile broadband performance measures. It recorded the highest auto-mode download throughput in nine of the 11 surveyed cities and led third-party application download throughput in eight cities.

Jazz also achieved the required standard for third-party application latency in all 11 cities and secured full compliance in Voice QoS across all 55 voice KPI checks.

For SMS services, both operators shared the top position after meeting all 22 KPI requirements.

The PTA survey covered Peshawar, Abbottabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Quetta, Hub, Sukkur and Karachi West.

The assessment measures the quality and performance of mobile networks across key services used by consumers.
