Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves increased during the week ended September 18, 2026, according to the latest data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
SBP-held reserves rose by $11 million during the week to $21.4 billion, compared with $21.389 billion recorded a week earlier.
The country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves also increased by $19 million to $26.811 billion.
Of the total, $21.4 billion was held by the SBP, while commercial banks held $5.41 billion.
Commercial banks’ reserves increased by $8 million during the week.
Based on the latest reserve position, Pakistan’s current dollar reserves are equivalent to around 3.5 months of import cover.
