Professor Mohammad Marandi has warned that Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait could face an uncertain future if the United States launches another attack on Iran, saying Tehran would respond without restraint.
In an interview, Marandi said the consequences of a new war could extend beyond Iran and threaten the stability of Gulf governments.
He warned that the ruling regimes in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait might not survive the next phase of the confrontation.
Marandi said Iran would show no restraint if US President Donald Trump followed through on threats to destroy the country and its people.
“If Trump carries out his threats to destroy Iran, the country, the nation, the people, Iran will be relentless in the next war,” he said.
He also urged Gulf states to exercise caution in the coming weeks, warning that an escalation could have far-reaching consequences for the region.
Marandi’s remarks suggest that a new US military campaign against Iran could expose neighbouring Gulf countries to the risks of a wider confrontation. However, his warning reflects his assessment of a possible future war rather than confirmation that the governments he named are facing imminent collapse.
The comments come amid concerns that renewed hostilities between Washington and Tehran could spread beyond their immediate targets and draw more countries into a regional crisis.
