The Pakistani rupee continued its long-running gains against the US dollar on Monday, closing at 276.81 after appreciating by 1.18 paisa, according to the exchange-rate data provided.
The rupee has recorded gains against the dollar every day since December 25, 2025, extending its winning streak to 269 consecutive days.
The currency’s latest move came as Pakistan renewed efforts to help end the Gulf war. Reports said Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Tehran on Monday, while Iranian, Saudi and Turkish officials reportedly held talks at an undisclosed location to discuss ending the conflict.
However, the available figures do not establish that the diplomatic developments caused the rupee’s movement.
How Other Currencies Performed

It gained around two paisa against the Canadian dollar. The rupee was broadly stable against the UAE dirham and lost around one paisa against the Saudi riyal.
