The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority received 4,901 consumer complaints against telecom operators in June 2026, resolving 4,611 of them for an overall redressal rate of 94.08 percent, according to official data released by the regulator.
Cellular mobile operators dominated the complaint landscape, accounting for 4,188 cases — more than four-fifths of all grievances lodged during the month. The PTA resolved 3,984 of these, yielding a redressal rate of 95.13 percent, the highest among the four major service categories tracked by the authority.
Internet services generated the second-highest volume of complaints at 581, of which 513 were resolved. The category posted a redressal rate of 88.3 percent, the lowest among all telecom service segments.
Basic telephony, covering fixed-line services, recorded 109 complaints with 93 resolved, translating to a redressal rate of 85.32 percent. Wireless local loop services drew 23 complaints, with 21 resolved at a rate of 91.3 percent.
The data underscores the outsized role of mobile services in consumer grievances, a reflection of the sector’s dominant position in Pakistan’s telecom market, while also highlighting comparatively weaker complaint resolution in the internet and fixed-line segments.
