The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its winning run against the US dollar on Wednesday, marking its 251st consecutive day of gains.
The rupee closed at 277.11 against the US dollar, improving by around one paisa during the day.
The PKR has remained on an upward trend against the dollar since December 25, 2025. At its current pace, the currency could move into the 276 range in October 2026.
Rupee Performance Against Major Currencies
The rupee posted mixed results against other major currencies.
It weakened by Rs. 1.18 against the British pound and lost 42 paisas against the euro. The Canadian dollar also gained Rs. 0.21 against the rupee.
On the other hand, the rupee strengthened by 35 paisas against the Australian dollar.
The rupee was largely stable against the UAE dirham and Saudi riyal.

The latest closing rate keeps the rupee near the 277 level as its extended winning streak against the US dollar continues.
