The federal government has increased the petrol price by Rs1.19 per litre and reduced the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs1.91 per litre, with the new rates taking effect from October 7, 2026.
Following the latest adjustment, petrol will cost Rs394.83 per litre, while HSD will be available at Rs395.85 per litre. The previous prices were Rs393.64 for petrol and Rs397.76 for diesel.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised the ex-depot prices under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.
The latest revision was based on changes in international petroleum prices, including movements in Platts rates, premiums and other applicable costs.
Global oil prices also declined on Tuesday as concerns over supply eased following higher crude exports from the Middle East and an agreement by G7 countries to release emergency diesel and crude stockpiles.
Brent crude futures fell 1.8 percent to $98.48 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate crude declined 1.6 percent to $88.01 per barrel.
The latest revision follows Monday’s adjustment, when the government raised petrol by Re0.88 per litre and reduced the HSD price by Rs1.88 per litre.
