The petrol price in Pakistan has been reduced by Rs. 2.93 per litre to Rs. 395.37, while high-speed diesel has become more expensive by Rs. 0.61 per litre, taking its price to Rs. 396.85.

The latest rates were reported in the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) update for Monday, October 12.

The latest reduction follows Friday’s revision, when petrol became cheaper by Rs. 0.66 per litre to Rs. 398.30. Diesel, meanwhile, increased by Rs. 0.52 to Rs. 396.24 per litre.

Despite the recent cuts, fuel prices have risen substantially since daily price revisions began. Petrol has recorded a cumulative increase of Rs. 84.26 per litre, while diesel has become costlier by Rs. 72.33 over the same period.

Petrol is now priced at Rs. 395.37 per litre, compared with Rs. 310.71 before daily pricing began on July 18. Diesel has increased from Rs. 323.30 to Rs. 396.85 per litre over the same period.

The latest adjustment brings some relief to petrol consumers, although diesel prices remain close to Rs. 397 per litre, keeping pressure on transport and other operating costs.
