The federal government has raised the prices of both petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), with the latest rates taking effect for the next 24 hours, according to the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

The price of petrol has increased by Rs. 3.34 to Rs. 334.54 per litre, while diesel has risen by Rs. 5.27 to Rs. 395.69 per litre.

The latest increase comes just a day after fuel prices were raised sharply on Monday. Petrol had increased by Rs. 5.77 to Rs. 331.20 per litre, while diesel went up by Rs. 6.47 to Rs. 390.42 per litre.

Petrol and Diesel Prices Keep Rising

Since Pakistan introduced daily fuel price revisions, petrol has become Rs. 22.24 per litre more expensive, while diesel has surged by Rs. 66.18 per litre.

The latest rates are part of the government’s daily fuel pricing mechanism, under which petrol and diesel prices are adjusted more frequently in line with changes in international oil prices and other relevant factors.
