Pakistan’s readymade garment sector achieved its highest-ever export performance in FY2025-26, with shipments reaching $4.18 billion, reflecting a 5.5% increase compared with the previous year.

The latest milestone marks a major expansion over the last decade, as garment exports have more than doubled from $1.97 billion in FY2015-16 to the current record level.
During the 10-year period, the sector recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.8%, highlighting sustained demand for Pakistan’s finished textile products in international markets.
The growth indicates a gradual transition toward value-added textile manufacturing, with readymade garments generating greater export earnings compared with raw materials and semi-processed textile products.
The continued rise in garment exports strengthens the role of value-added textiles in Pakistan’s export strategy as the country looks to improve foreign exchange inflows and enhance its position in global apparel markets.
