The Pakistani rupee (PKR) extended its winning streak against the US Dollar (USD) for the 239th consecutive trading day on Monday, while making stronger gains against the Euro and other major currencies.

The rupee closed at 277.31 against the US Dollar, gaining around one paisa during the session. The PKR has remained on an upward trend against the dollar since December 25, 2025.

Against other major currencies, the rupee strengthened by Rs. 1.77 against the Euro to close at 319.94. It also gained 77 paisas against the British Pound, 58 paisas against the Canadian Dollar and Rs. 1.09 against the Australian Dollar.

The rupee gained 14 paisas against the Malaysian Ringgit and remained broadly stable against the Chinese Yuan, with the CNY edging up by around one paisa.

The PKR also remained almost unchanged against the UAE Dirham, while gaining nearly two paisas against the Saudi Riyal.
