The Pakistani rupee continued its steady performance against the US dollar, closing in the green for the 157th consecutive trading session on Monday.
The local currency ended the day at 278.67 per dollar, registering a gain of three paisas in the latest session.
In broader currency trading, the rupee showed mixed movement against major global currencies.
It remained largely stable against the UAE dirham, while posting a marginal gain of two paisas against the Saudi riyal.
Against other currencies, the rupee weakened by 36 paisas versus the British pound and 71 paisas against the euro.
It also slipped by 45 paisas against the Australian dollar, while gaining Rs1.19 against the Canadian dollar during the session.
