Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices are expected to decline by around Rs. 50 per kilogram from July 1, driven by ample domestic supplies, sources told RBN.
According to the sources, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is expected to reduce the official LPG price from the existing Rs. 309 per kilogram to nearly Rs. 259 per kilogram for July.
The anticipated reduction follows an improvement in LPG availability across the country, allowing the regulator to lower the official price for the new month.
However, consumers may not fully benefit from the reduction, as the officially notified price continues to be ignored in several cities, including Lahore. Retailers in many areas are still selling LPG at rates significantly higher than OGRA’s prescribed price, limiting the impact of any official cut on end users.
