A Bloomberg journalist posting on X has reported that a Qatar LNG cargo is en route to Pakistan, but uncertainty remains over its shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the post, while the shipment is officially destined for Pakistan, it is unclear whether the vessel will pass through Hormuz, a key transit point for global LNG supplies. Any deviation from this route could disrupt delivery timelines and logistics.

The report adds that if the cargo does not transit through Hormuz, Pakistan may be compelled to procure LNG from the international spot market, which is typically more expensive and subject to price volatility.
The development comes as Pakistan continues to depend heavily on imported LNG to meet energy demand, making supply route stability a key concern for policymakers.
