The federal government has appointed Maj. Gen. Faisal Naseer, HI(M), T. Bt & Bar, as National Coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA).

According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat’s Establishment Division on Friday, the appointment has been made under Section 9(1) of the NACTA Act, 2013.

Naseer has been appointed on a secondment basis for a period of three years under the standard terms and conditions, with immediate effect and until further orders.

The notification was issued with the approval of the federal government.
